In order to apply for participation in Tinkerers Communication Workshops, individuals need to meet the following prerequisites:
1) be minimum 18 years old
2) have completed a basic English, Spanish, or German course (night school or creditable cassette or computer language course)

SCHOLARSHIP

We offer scholarships for the Gulf Islands and Baja, Mexico communication workshops to qualified candidates, namely , up to a 50% reduction in the mentor and accommodation fees.
You may qualify for a scholarship if you are currently involved in projects that are designed to help people. Qualified candidates for these scholarships will also demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit, have made a commitment to human rights and social responsibility, and have a record of achieving practical, innovative results. If you feel you qualify, please fill out the appropriate section of the application form.

To apply for a scholarship, please write a 200 word essay about your current projects, indicating what exactly you are doing to make the world a better place.

Once you send this application to us you are indicating that you have read and understand the following release form, and accept the conditions as stated. You will be required to sign this release form upon your arrival at the communication workshop.

ITS EFFECT IS TO RELEASE THE TINKERERS AND AFFILIATED TEACHERS FROM ANY LIABILITY RESULTING FROM YOUR PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNICATION WORKSHOPS AND
WAIVES ALL CLAIMS FOR DAMAGES OR LOSSES AGAINST THE TINKERERS AND AFFILIATED TEACHERS

RELEASE FROM RESPONSIBILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND WAIVER

In consideration of my participation in Communication Workshops with the Tinkerers and affiliated teachers, in Canada, USA, Mexico, Germany and Europe,

I, the undersigned participant in these workshops, exercising my own free choice
to participate voluntarily in the above-named activities, and promising to take due care during such
participation, hereby release and discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Tinkerers and affiliated teachers and agents, employees, and any other persons or entities acting on their behalf, and the successors and assigns for any and all of the aforementioned persons and entities, (all of such persons and entities are identified below as "Released Parties") against all claims, demands, causes of action whatsoever either in law or in equity,
relating to injury, disability, death or other harm, to person or property or both, arising from my participation
in and/or presence at the Tinkerers Communication Workshops.
I acknowledge that I have been informed of major hazards and risks which travelling entails. I understand, accept, and assume those hazards and risks, and waive all claims against the Tinkerers and affiliated teachers and other persons as set forth above. I understand that I am solely responsible for any costs arising out of any bodily injury or property damage sustained through my participation in normal or unusual acts associated with the Tinkerers Communication Workshops.
I understand that by signing this release I have given up all future liability claims by me against the Released
Parties. I also understand that even if this release were not signed, my assertion of such claims would have
to be based on legally recognized wrongful acts or omissions of the Released Parties and that they are in no
way insurers of my safety. Therefore, I have determined whether I have adequate separate personal insurance to cover all harm that I may suffer due to participation in this activity and I have obtained all insurance protection that I want.
I have had sufficient time to review and seek explanation of the provisions contained above, have carefully
read them, understand them fully, and agree to be bound by them. After careful deliberation, I voluntarily
give my consent and agree to this Release, Assumption of Risk, and Waiver.
